Lifestyle Plus Form Bundle is a feminist / queer / – print portfolio show at MADAME OF THE ARTS SATURDAY JUNE 23rd showcasing abstract works on paper by artists from Minneapolis, Chicago, New York,and Montreal. If formalist notions of art are described as  pure explorati…on of line/color/composition/shape devoid of context or content… What happens when intuitive abstraction is derived from a feminist/queer body? We are gathering these gestures to create a communal folder of abstracted decisions…to see how these forms are viewed and contextualized with queerness in mind, allowing for a political interpretation of non-representation. Works on paper range from silkscreens, risographs, offset prints, digital and xerox. OPENING: SATURDAY JUNE 23rd (PRIDE WEEKEND) 8pm @ Madame of the Arts Portfolios will be for sale. Mannafest: It’s Raining Manna

Mannafest is a pop up restaurant extended into the realms of installation and performance art benefitting our very own Madame of the Arts. Featuring work by Chris Sorenson, Emma Cook, and Kim Christensen in collaboration with Chris and Rhett Roberts of BroJobs.

VIP Tickets are sold out, but afterparty tickets including food and beverages will be available at the door for $15.

Arrive between 7:00 and 7:45 to be in time for Mannafest’s final performance.

For Casey’s first solo venture, he’s responding to the domestic setting of Madame of the Arts. For this exhibition he has created screenprints, wallpaper, shelving units and ramp wedges to display collections of ready-made and sculptural objects.

Casey’s print and poster work is a common fixture in the avant-whatever music and art scene of minneapolis. His flyers and poster work have become known for their sensuous, direct and designed refinement and Madame is proud to host his first solo art endeavor.
