Very pleased to help in showing my pal amy’s film here in town. here’s her description of the movie —
How Mata Hari Lost Her Head and Found Her Body” is a fantastical biography of the iconic dancer, courtesan, and spy executed for double espionage in the First World War. Reinventing Hari’s life according to the strange circumstances of her death – she was decapitated after her execution and her head mysteriously stolen from the museum where it was displayed – the film imagines her as a striptease artist whose talent for removing her head takes Belle Époque Paris by storm. Interweaving history with mythology, the result is an unique look into an era where Orientalism sold, scandal became success, and deviant desires equalled a crime punishable by death.

I’ll have some copies of the julian lynch soundtrack 7″ for sale at this, too, if interested ($5); it’ll be your first chance to grip the single.
